Club Vice President. Our Vice President, Luanne Johnson, is moving to Ohio later this summer and will be resigning as V.P. at the May meeting. Howard McGill has been appointed to take over as V.P. effective in May, and will serve the remaining term which ends June 2009. We are so sorry to lose Luanne, who has volunteered so much of her time to our club in various projects and been a trail master for so many of our walks. Good luck, Luanne, in your new endeavors! We will all miss you.

Point of Contact for Bay Area Ridge Trail. We need a volunteer to take over another one of Luanne's duties, POC for the Ridge Trail. This involves mostly just receiving emails with information on the Bay Area Ridge Trail and passing on information on those routes which could possibly be included in our club's Volksmarches.

Mare Island SF Bay Flyway Festival, Vallejo, 2-3 February. Although the weather was rainy, we had a good turnout and people were very complimentary of the walk. We have decided to make this an annual event.

2008 CVA CONVENTION. The CVA Convention will be held in Santa Rosa, 2-4 May. Details can be found on the web site or in The Compass. Tom Bressem will do a presentation on the Junior Volkssport program at the business meeting held at 2 pm on Saturday, 3 May.
