Vacaville
The Vacaville Historic Walk started at Digger's Deli, where people could register for either a walk or a bike ride.
Walkers continued through Vacaville neighborhood streets, then passed by the new Vacaville Police Station and the Town Hall with it's bright frecos out front. Passing through downtown Vacaville, the walk passed the "Fruit Pickers" sculpture and the new clock tower in the town square (with the unexpected Roman numeral IIII). Next came the original combination Town Hall, jail and fire department Building. After crossing the bridge to Andrews Park, the walk was supposed to follow the Creek Walk, but it was closed due to damage from heavy rains. Past the park, the walk continues along Buck Street, where you can see beautiful old mansions and pass the Vacaville museum. After winding past Vacaville High School, the walk takes Alamo Drive back to the starting point.
